I need help, afraid of making mistake buying PR9 domain

    Any help will be appreciated.

    I just won the auction for ORALSURGEONSALARY.org domain name, which is PR9. IT's 4 digits price - scary....

    Looked at many factors, DA, PA is good.

    Majestic trust flow is 22.

    No porn links etc...

    What bothers me is Alexa at 4M - domain like that must have good Alexa.

    Can anyone help me out and tell me if this domain will be good for satellite site? Will I be able to get "juice" from it?

    You've won an auction which presumably means that your bid is legally binding.

    I would seriously question that the site is a PR9 - it fails my "is it likely" test on face value.

    I'm not sure what help you really need - help perhaps in determining your bid, but what's done is done.

    I doubt any such site would have pR9 just by common sense alone...
    and I would think you would have to be like another google god
    in order to get such pr as PR9 is high as you can go....

    It's not a PR9...run away, quickly!
    I know, the lure of it possibly being a real PR9 keeps your interest, but just let it go.
    The Nigerian emails are scams, and so is this domain being sold as a PR9.

    Just drop the site, your instincts are right. It is always good to check out the site well enough before buying it, and asking for an expert opinion, like you did.

    If the site wasn't advertised as PR9 on the auction site you will probably have to buy from most reputable auction sites. First thing you have to do before buying any domain with page rank is to check if it is ranking for its own name. This site is not ranking for ORALSURGEONSALARY.

    Thanks for your replies, I really appreciate it! If you go through and do MOZ and Majestic checks, it looks good. When you use tools to check real PR, it shows that PR is real. What's the problem with domain?

    Checked PR with some PR checking websites, looks legit.
    About Alexa, i dont think such website/keyword would get more traffic.

    There are ton of juice method and its cost less than 4 figures. If someone purchase that domain name there are 2 strong reason why they would.

    1. He/she know how good a website that running before.
    2. He/she didnt know how to dispose a money.

    Whatever you do, don't redirect it to a good site. You will ruin a good site as well. There is something seriously wrong if a PR9 doesn't rank for its own name.

    Maybe you could teach me something...

    How do I get a domain that has had generic content on a generic wordpress theme with no inbound links to gain a rank of PR9?
    and how do they stop it being penalised now there is no content on it at all?

    Maybe if I understood what you think the seller has done I'll understand why it's not a crock of shit.

    My advice for you is to "NOT" buy the domain for any reasons you may have. It has PR9 as it was redirected to http://www.digitpa.gov.it/ . I have also attached a screenshot for your reference.

    Make wise decision. If you need any help in identifying a "genuine" PR domain, PM me with the domain names. I can help you :)

    As others advised you, few simple checks will tell you that this is obviously not worth it and this domain has a falsely inflated PageRank. Chances are it will be caught pretty soon and penalized fiercely :) A common method before was a simple edit of the .htaccess file and a redirection to a high PageRank site like Google or Yahoo... I've also checked a few appraisal websites and its no surprise that none of them gave a 4 digit figure... and its not such a good domain name anyway ;)

    PR9 sites are so rare, like a woman that doesn't mumble at all. If you have an different experience (with the woman) then a PR9 may follow. Seriously PR9 does look valid but as many people said already before i too believe it's inflated.

    The owner of the website must have bought the website or expired domain with PR9. As I have read many times, most people install wordpress on the domain and continue backlinking to keep the PR.
