I have more than 50 proxy, but all get low traffic, each get about 100 visitors per day only. I am thinking I will need a Quad Core server with 2 GB at least. Correct me if I'm wrong.
I would recomend the Quad core for 2 Reasons. 1) Power. Being you visit count per Proxy is Low you will keep a blazing fast load time. 2) Plenty of Room to GROW... Best deal I found recently. versaweb has the servers for great prices and many addons and good support check versaweb.com if you want rebate info, PM me. Also you may want to start out with dual core or quad core but bare in mind if your proxies gorw, it is not like normal hosting, if they grow, those cores will become less importance and CPU will play more role. Not only that, you can not host many proxies on 1 dual core as well if they indeed grow big Then you have to aim for dual CPU or custom Quad CPU and seperate out proxies on seperate servers.

I just setup a server which would do just fine. Depending on what you want you can start with a Dual Core, 2 GB Ram system with lxadmin (up to 40 domains for free), and it will handle proxies just fine.
