Take a look if people are browsing your page by category, or if they would prefer to see Top Post of the day/week, etc

Are you working on social media marketing? Using Facebook, Twitter and other social networks to bring in new visitors?

thanks for your comments Smaza, Actually blog design layout always focus on landing pages where visitor reach from search or other sources of traffic after that their first priority is to see about how is home page then they go for categories...

    thanks

I am leading a team of 4 for this blog. We are working seo, facebook, twitter, reddit, stumbling, pins, linkbuilding...bla bla bla but truly our aim is to set our content quality towards highest standards as content is always king to get traffic:)

Your blog is pretty decent. Not sure who you are targeting as your audience. You blog is in English, so I assume you want a US/UK readership since their ads pay the most. If so, the English is decent, but could use a little polishing. I know that is the hardest thing for non-native speakers to get correct since the casualness of the way people actually talk and write is not always the way it is taught.

The look and feel seem fine to me. Just thought I would throw in my 2 cents on the rest anyway. I would probably change the way you guys do your bylines on the posts too. I would use smaller images, includes less of a bio on each post, and instead link to social media with your name. I think thechive.com strikes a nice balance. (I can give you more specifics if you want)

Thanks to appreciate. I was dying for these comments this is when some geek look into your windows:) he can see everything... thechive.com is best in its kind but I want to share knowledge base articles + lil bit political too so I can't afford to go with that flavored. Thank you so much. And believe me I am removing ads slowly as I don't want them anymore in future may be I will only work with google leads, double clicks and ad sense.

With the Chive I was actually referring to the size and the way they do their author profiles. I think yours the images are a little too big, I like their size. Also, for example, your bio need not be listed under each post but just a name. When they click and get an author page is where I would have the more detailed info. Also, I like how they just use a single name for each author. It has a more casual feel. Plus, after reading your profile under one post, it is really redundant to keep seeing it over and over as I surfed your site. Good luck!

Kill me right there, but I like the size of the images. The look trendy. But in some articles popping-red lines "Download Full Screen Image' distract attention from the pictures. Would suggest taking better pictures of your authors. Also it is better to have a separate about page with more information about your project on it. You have sharing buttons but only a link to your Facebook page on the main page, and I wanted to find links to other social accounts and failed. Just wanted to check out your twitter marketing strategy:) do you use any cache instruments? My Internet connection is OK, but the images seemed to be downloaded slowly. It's ok that pictures and titles in previews are links to a full article, but the users still love "read more" tag, so... But all in all I loved the site, good work guys, just keep moving ahead.

very impressive feedback i am missing my "like" button as a new bird:(. I am agreed with all of your points but browntwn, we can't be perfect at all...Its been just 2 months we hv started feeding this big giant and I think that in this period what we made is nice, lilbit unique and elegant although we know that hell of things to do yet and this is a nonstop episode. You know working on blog with design, development, social media and SEO is enough mess to deal.

But the fact is I am gonna made some important changes which you pointed out like I will make some rescaling of author image nd ya 100% you are right about author intro, It shud not visible and name length is also a very important factor for me and I am thank full to you for this. I was blind from that aspect.
Over all tell me what you give from 100 points to Blog Of The World after knowing that we are are a team of 4's and started before 2 months especially when we are from Pakistan:( where we have to fight with many obstacles like electricity is only for 12 hours and financial system and collapsing very fast, Its very difficult to handle situations while we also need to survive as web development company and work too much hard:) bcoz we know we are gonna rock very soon....

    Regards

yup Kianu I know these issues fixing them fast. about twitter I am a dumb ass...don't have time I have left it after a month bcoz we are very buzzy on face book fan page and linked in...twitter is our next target. Read more tag is trendy I know but we are experimenting to make our blog different in its kind. We will see if we need to make read more visible later on. We have it in our pockets:)

    Great!
By the way, speaking of previews, do you check where people click more - the title or the picture?

I wonder if you use any social media management app. Maybe to make the things easier with social media?

Wishing you good luck guys, great job and I love your attitude!

    You asked for it. :)

I would give it a 60+ (and that is a good rating from me.) Your site is better than average but there is obviously a lot of improvement that can be made. Most sites are total crap. Yours is decent, some interesting posts. That walking card trick thing was pretty cool. I like that you are not afraid to tackle a hard issue like the recent blasphemy/house burning going on.

The places where the English could improve just jump out at me, so it is hard to get past that. Even something like in your nav header where you say "featured postings" to me that should read "featured posts". Some of this may be my personal preference, but I think I have a good feel for that type of thing. Also, in reading pages like the one about the wooden car ... the post itself seems incomplete like it is missing the end or stops mid sentence, which I actually think it does since a quote is started but there is no end quote. By the way, that car has to be a death trap. I would not want to be in an accident in a wicker car. (At least where I live we would call it wicker and probably not cane - but that stuff is not a big deal)

Well, you need to search for a kind of a web auditor here...
Search for heatmaps. For example, clicktale has one. It clearly shows the spread of clicks on your page. Also you can try some split testing in Google Analytics Experiments, it's a free tool, it will help you find out which elements work best for your audience.

Very much opinion and deliberately in "mean editor" mode (so read with a smile):

    1. Lose the absolutely frickin' annoying, horrible, ugly, stupid share floaty thing on the left. God, I hate those. What a waste of space, and it doesn't show properly on normal magnification. Just put a normal share box on the page.

    2. Get an editor. Your content quality will push people away. Seriously, no one wants to read a post titled "Burning Christian homes! Listen what world is talking about us".

    3. If there's no bio, don't post the author pic. Or alternatively, make sure everyone has a bio.

    4. There are WAY too many nav options and they're unclear to me. Some make sense as big categories (Tech, Food & Health, etc.) but then you have "Blogging tips" and "Political World" in tiny text above... what? Why isn't blogging tips in Tech? Why isn't Politics big enough to make the main nav bar when "Chill point" is?

    5. Lose the "Read x times" nonsense. That went out with visitor counters, back in the 90s. No one cares (except you) and you risk embarrassing yourself with low figures. If you get impressive stats, post an article about them and cheer publicly! :)

    6. Lose the tags that are clogging your tag cloud. Tagging with "amazing" and "winter" is pointless, as is tagging with any category name (that's why you have them on the nav bar, after all).

    7. Get an editor. Yes, I said it above but I'll say it again because it's SO important: if you want to hit the English-speaking market (and I can only speak to that, since I don't read Urdu!) you need to improve the quality or only post images.

Putting aside the "mean editor" personality, you've got something that looks great and is very promising! With continued work, you could get a massive following. Awesome. :)

Voila....You make my day! I love you man!!!!
I have got everything in my mind fixed what you pointed out and will get back to you soon although some points need more time to get rid off...
We were damn buzzy in redesign and have made it more elegant please have a look again and let me know is it alright now?? and yup about content quality, text problems, tag mess and category "abnormality" is something what I am already fighting with...
Low budgets and Pakistan...these two factors are like elephants for me where finding editor and money both are horrific! but I promise you to cope these issues in one month max.

I have tried my best to make it more elegant and definitely focusing on content quality. Blasphemy is most hot topic in Indian and Pakistan this is your point if view to shoot this topic and I respect it as I am too much happy that you have spent your time and tell me something about the core of my framework.

let me tell you I have made it alone and you can say this is one man show over all I have 3 other members n they are getting trained every passing day. This blog is my final destination and I will have to rock:)

Best regards for your precious time (not formality)
