There is one particular site that offers phones, locations of stores, so when u search for lets say... Food + my City's name hes the first entry pretty good SEO job and good ideia for a website.. I was looking for something cool like that, not the same main ideia.. something different.. do any of you happen to have any ideia that you would like to share? if yes please post here lets talk who knows maybe we both get out with a very good ideia in mind!

How about a huge resource site with all the main utilities on there: transport, restaurants, schools, and maybe even a forum or a town magazine. Another idea that spring to mind is a giant map where people do the check boxes and it comes up with their results. For example, if someone wanted to know where public parking was, they'd check the box that said 'Public Parking' and on the map it would bring up the locations of all the public parking places? Do this for a load of things: restaurants, supermarkets, bus stops, police stations etc etc.

I have always wanted to make a local site. I would just have tons of different categories based on keyword research at wordtracker...If you city doesn't show many searches, just look at the keywords related to a big city for ideas (or look in yellow pages online for category ideas) Then print business cards and hand them out to every store in town. I have heard if you give a few people free listings, it helps make their competitors and make them buy ads. You can also offer web hosting and web sites.
Create a site for a local site building service. Use AdWords to target it to the specific local area you want to reach. On the site point out to them that they found your site through local targetted advertising and that you can do the same for their business...for a reasonable fee, of course.
By the way, what domain do you have? Use 'town' as your town name if you don't want to give away your real domain, but this will help us give you ideas. For example, townlistings.com is going to need a completely different idea to a site called leisureintown.com... See what I mean?
