Hi everybody. I hope all is well with all of you. I'm new to this forum, i started yesterday. Although i have read some info a couple of times lately, before i joined. I'm amazed at the knowledge of the webmasters ( is that even the proper term? ) that are on this forum. I'm finding that being new, i'm limited in areas of this forum where i can write a post asking for this kind of help. I hope that this area will give me alot of response to what i need to start with, and then grow from there. I hope to someday be able to have the experience that could help other people on this forum. Here it is..........I need articles to be written about the items and general areas that i sell and that involve my website. It is, www.outdoorsandin.com. I'd love it if writers are willing to look at my site and tell me what they could do, like an article per area of items, or even articles about specific items. I know in most cases i would contract out a writer to write 10 articles for $$$, like on Guru or something. But i am hoping to start an ongoing relationship with a writer or company that is willing to look at my site and give me their expertise in just what kind of articles should be written. I know there is alot of you out there that know what you're doing so much more than i do at this point. I see some very inexpensive article posts on here, but i'm hoping someone will give me some good ideas. I need to get this part of my site going in the right direction. Please give me any and all suggestions, offers, agreements and replies. I want to learn and i would really like to have a working relationship with a writer or company that can help. Thank you so much. Looking forward to all. BobNfish

    BobNfish,

I suggest you cruise on over to www.articlecat.com. There are loads of free quality content articles that you can use on your website. They are all human reviewed and I'm pretty sure they'll meet your quality standards.

If you still want to hire a writer, I heard people have had success with http://www.justarticles.com.

    Good luck!

Hi Keyz, thanks for answering. I actually thought i would get alot more because it seems like a much talked about subject. The question i have for you and for anybody is, are using articles not written by me and not with links to my site, rather, links to someone else's site going to help what I'm trying to do? I read that people have hundreds, even thousands of articles posted in directories that help bring business to their site and also raise them in the search engines. Will it work the same or similar using articles with other names as authors? I really have alot to learn and I want to start doing this right! Also, thank you Denise for your PM, I will try to get back to you later. BobNfish

I would recommend using original articles written by a writer that you hire. Using articles from directories or other sources can damage your search engine ranking because it is considered duplicate content.

I saw that you mentioned Denise had sent you a PM. I have hired several writers from DP to help me with projects, and I have to say Denise is one of the very best. I would personally recommend giving her a try, you won't be disappointed.

lets say i write an article on my article site in order to have some unique content.

somebody comes and republish it at another site. how serps know whos the original ?

sooner or later any unique article will become duplicate. i find it hard to believe that serps remeber the first occurence of a sequence of words ...

in that article it says that serp penalize all duplicate except one, based on the age of the page, i assume its the age of the "indexing existance", first indexed with that content escape penality...

but what if the thief place the text on some of his old pages indexed a long time ago ?

Thanks RT. I definately believe the quality aspect. Thanks for the helpful email ablaye. I guess i would really like to get as much going as i can. 20-50 articles depending on a good price for a larger order like that. I guess I'm hoping someone will look at my site as given in an earlier post and with their expertise, tell me what the best catagories and items would be to start out. Get a good jump start. I will be adding lots more products, but for now i'd like to do this. An email or PM with ideas and prices, or just general stuff and i can email back. I'm just not sure how much business I'm supposed to do on here, or is it mainly for asking questions and getting suggestions. I've seen some good prices on here that would submit articles to many directories, if i get the articles. That seems to be popular, and a good option I'm guessing? I'll check back later, thanks everyone. BobNfish
