Hi firstly, my apologies if I am posting this in the wrong section I have looked at all the other sections and this looks like the most likely! I have a site that has a good ranking in bing and is climbing in yahoo and google for a specific search term, I am achieving 1500 organic visitors a month but I have been able to boost that up to around 3000 with article distribution and PR work. This I am pleased with as I see growth month after month, however my conversion to sales levels are very low, almost non existant. I can only think that it is a problem with my site, layout, copy etc. Could somebody who has some expertise in this area please cast an educated eye over my site and give me their verdict, and suggestions for improvement. The site in question is http://www.howmuchshouldiweighnow.com and funnily enough it is in the weight loss niche! pre-emptive thanks to all who can help.
The products on this page http://www.howmuchshouldiweighnow.com/overweight.php are not interesting at all. Plus their sales pages suck. One of them is soooooooooo long, it drives people away. Long sales pages do not work. Find GOOD affiliate weight-loss products. Jenny Craig and Weight Watchers are good ones. Also, your text is too small. Try Georgia, size 12 font. For the most part, the rest of your site looks pretty good.
your fonts on the affiliate section are too small, and your description is too long. It will have to be short and to the point for someone to read it.
I think your site looks good but the font is definitely way too small. The reason I wouldn't really spend time in the site (never mind buy something) is because you really don't come to the point quickly enough or spell out the WIFM (What's In It For Me - the customer). It took me a while to figure out how the site works and it's purpose. I'd start by telling people you've got lots of experience trying out diet programs and you can save them heaps of time if they just let you do all the work and recommend the best programs out there (You state in the site that you've actually purchased programs - you put your money where your mouth is) Dot points are always helpful especially if they give "4 reasons why you want to take my advice". Spell it out. Tell them all the advantages of listening to your experience. I hope this is helpful.
First, You need to list tons of testmonies to prove that your stuff works for them Second, You only have one landing page, need more content. Third, offer some free stuff to get peoples email address, then you know what you need to do with these email address, right ? by the way, for SEO purpose, use H1 tage and hight light you Title search on google, use keyword such as " Weigh loss" , "loss weight" to find top 5 websites, look at their landing page, "copy" their idea and work on yours. Keep working hard, and keep coming to digitalpoint, you will get better and better
