Hi, I need a simple affiliate script to track sales and reward affiliates. What do you suggest? The easiest to manage the better. Thanks
Just incase you are unsure as afterall some things that you may want to offer your affiliates may not be included in the software. So here are a few affiliate softwares. Personally with managing over 2000 affiliate programs, the most common affiliate software I see used today is "Post Affiliate Pro" followed by "iDevAffiliate" which are the first 2 listings in the software reviews. What I've seen, I would favour "Post Affiliate Pro", but thats just me.
So, would you recommend running affiliate software yourself, as opposed to joining a network like CJ or ClickBank?
If you had the money then I would actually prefer an Affiliate Network like ShareASale, CJ as you mention. I would only chose a network that is popular and treat their publishers correctly with on time payouts and good support. The reasons I would choose a network over managing your own affiliate program, is because the network already has good knowledge on how to deal with fraudulent affiliates, plus the affiliate network already has a good amount of affiliates already possibly awaiting to promote your sites products.
+1 on what a few people here are mentioning about using CJ. Even Clickbank has great service when it comes to promoting your own products. If you create your own product and affiliate prog, people are going to have to find that program first. In CB, its a free for all. Best bang for buck.
