Yes, testing it the only way to know. Too many variable depending on the market. No one can claim to know what will work best until you put an real offer in front of real live people.

    thank you.

I don't know if I uploaded this properly (for the people calling bs etc)
Anyways, I've went through all your excellent advices. And I only have one last question that needs to be answered.

Beside Adbrite, what is a good CPM advertiser? (I've been refused with Casale/burstmedia) I'm kind of busy with a lot of other projects I just want to start earning decent money.

    Thanks

I say go for both and see whats best over time adsense actually makes it so that you get the most amount of money by slowly changing its algorithm to work with your site but test both and see which is better.

Who's your tracking with? Try Analytics to get a proper traffic estimate - that looks like awstats or similar cpanel tracking - get rid of that and don't believe what you see... I to had similar figures and was pissing myself with excitement - until I realized the page views and visits include bots and crawlers stats - I have 11k visits per day in similar stats and in analytics - 40% of them are not included as they are bots.

I switched to clicksor Pop/Layer Ad's and Pop Banners - now I get about $3 - $4 cpm and with another ad network for banners and text links I get another $1 - $1.50 cpm.

    Thanks for your concern thsadmin!
The numbers are very close in google analytics, slightly lower. But the visits/pageviews is roughly the same. That being said, we get still a minimum of 350 000 page views daily on analytics. So it's not really a problem, we believe the real number is situated between analytics and awstats. Since Analytics doesn't count people who disable javascript! Also thanks for the ad network suggestions but we're trying to avoid any pops. We would prefer standard banners. One leaderboard and two medium rectangles. Our leaderboard is currently with Adsense and is giving decent money. We're just looking for alternatives to see if we could make more money. We're getting some good RPM atm with adsense but it's quite unstable. Anyways thanks for the advices!

Adsense is reliable for you because you have north american or canandian traffic i hope you will get more benefit if your website traffic is adsense safe then it will work for a long time.

    Best of luck

Thanks for your kind words diggs11! Sadly we feel that we're not getting what we deserve with adsense on some days. Somedays our RPM would be over 1$ sometimes it goes down to 0.55cents. Then again it's way better then nothing! But we work hard to improve these numbers and that's why we're looking for a good 1$ cpm network.

No worries... I use histats for tracking and they inflate the stat's. My site is adult in nature so I opted for the intrusive and annoying ad's... I have to agree that Analytics don't match even Google webmaster tools tracking stats - and I don't think analytics relies on Javascript - does it? Because if they did... you wouldn't be able to track mobile devices, iPads, ipHones and other mobile devices. I like clicksor pop ad's because they're CPM and don't rely heavily on clicks. I didn't even monetize my site - until Yesterday - page views are dropping though - so I am obviously pissing a few visitors off.

Totally agree with you! I'm not ready to sacrifice traffic for money atm. I have a fast growing website. And i'd rather have low money and a growing website. Then a declining website with good quick cash. I like my project and i want to keep it for a while! So that's why I've been testing adnetworks who offer good cpm. So far nothing beats google on good days. (Sadly today and yesterday were actually horrid days cpc wise) I'm getting about 0.50$ a click, which is half of what i get usually. This dropped my RPM to under 0.50$! We really want to find that 1 CPM network for banners. We have quality traffic from Canada and we can't seem to get accepted nowhere, despite the high numbers.

Yeah - I am feeling a sense of guilt by using intrusive ad's on my site. But then again the $4 - $5 cpm is more rewarding than my stat's. I just hope Google doesn't penalize the site now for being to intrusive with the ad's... it's a fine line between good content, money and tip toeing around Google (not to mention user friendly) - I will see what my earnings are and test for a few days for a negative impact... I was thinking that I would turn ad's off every second day or something.

Considering the high traffic, I would say CPM but I was never a fan of that unless they paid well. If the adsense clicks pay well, then definitely go for that in the ppc. I know someone that started their first blog about makeup for acne and once it started getting about 100 visitors per day, the money from adsense started pouring in because big companies pay a lot for acne ad clicks since it is a very competitive market.

But when I started my golf blog, I noticed that each click was only worth about $0.30. So for me that site was mostly amazon.

So for you, I suggest that you try a bit of both. But make sure you put the ppc adsense ads in a high converting spots and the cpm ads in okay spots.

You never know what's best without a bit of experimenting!

Oh and about that CPM advertiser, it might be best to use AdHitz if you can't find any other ad network. But that should be the backup's backup's backup. You know what I mean.

I would recommend Context Web but I believe they just merged with another company.

Yeah I was right. ContextWeb and Datran Media merged into Pulse Point. Kinda stupid name but who cares. (I liked Context Web much more).

Thanks everyone, today cpc for adsense dropped as low as 0.42 cents! That's quite infuriating as i got 400 clicks which usually reward me an average 1 CPC ...But now it dropped by more then half! Grr...It's quite sad. I contacted various cpm media networks. Hopefully, I'll be able to test them out soon! Expect a cpm network review soon :p (By soon i mean a few months)

@Danish01 - you can't spam irrelevant links in your posts... use your signature... I shouldn't be able to see them - cos I have the annoying things turned off... you'll get in the shit...
