    Hello,

I've been looking for a windows VPS for a while, but I cant find something reliable that meet my requirements. I need some suggestions.

    Minimum requirements:

    - Windows VPS - unmanaged | Standard or Web edition 2003 or 2008. with RDP.
    - 60 HDD
    - 1 GB Dedicated RAM
    - 100Mbit connection, 2 TB Bandwidth while the connection will be reduced to 10Mb/s when exceeded.
    - 1 Dedicated IP

Of course any higher servers would be appreciated!

I need this VPS for Remote access to use the connection for some upload/download processes.

    Max Budget: 20 USD / 15 Euro.

    Thanks in advance :)

It's going to be really difficult to reach that price with those specs. The windows license alone costs a provider $15 / mo, leaving just $5 / mo for a gig of ram and everything else. I don't know of any providers that will even try to do that for less than 2-3 times your budget.

Correct. Some providers might, but you'll be hard pushed to find a decent Windows VPS at that price.

It's actually a lot worse than that. They won't be paying for the licence per VPS as it is the licence of the host server that matters. Assuming they are using a dual CPU server (not much point if they aren't!), then they will need to use the Data Centre licence that allows unlimited VPSs on the host and costs in the region of $100 per month for the 2 CPUs (the DC licence is a minimum of 2 CPUs per server). This is about to increase by 60% (really!) in January 2011 to $160 per month because Microsoft think that's a reasonable percentage increase. If you go for a managed Windows VPS then that requires the "outsourced" licence which is currently around $500 per month (for 2 CPUs) and will increase to $800 per month in January 2011. That's a princely sum each month just for the Windows licence, and since this is the only way to legitimately provide Windows Hosting it's a case of pay it and charge your customers more or move to Linux.
