    Hello,

    I want to publish some ads in the Craig list and they ask me for US phone verification number. I do not have such a thing, what can I do please?
    They suppose to send to that phone number a code and me to insert the code in the ad for verification.

    I do not know what can I do.

    If somebody has a brilliant idea, he or she will receive a big kiss from me!

    Do you think that maybe that is to stop people outside the US from using their service?

    So my brilliant idea is to market yourself using other methods.

    They will nail you anyway. Even if you post an ad, it will be flagged in no time by the community. When CL says they want local ads, they really mean it.

    Have you tried creating a free number with Google Voice? A paid alternative would be Skype. I believe a dedicated Skype number is $50-60/yr last I checked.

    There are definitely a ton of VoIP services available that would provide you with a US number.

    You can also get free US numbers by downloading free texting apps like TextNow. They are fully function numbers that can send and receive not only text but calls as well.

    You also can buy US numbers fairly cheap from CallFire.com, $1 month 2 cents per minute

    If you are making money by using these numbers then you should be able to pay for them. Don't skimp to save a few dollars when you can put that time to better use.
