I am starting a project but i dont know what script and what template would be best to use in this case. My site will be a locator for people of a certain profession. Lets say licensed mechanics. It will be for North America. I want to put the map of North America in the middle of home page and let the users select the area where they live. Another way i have been suggested is to ask the users the postal code for Canada and Zip code for United States on the main page and then it will redirect them to the right page with a list of addresses . I also want to add some articles news about the profession just to fill the space. I need an idea an opinion . Is Wordpress a good idea? Can i find a similar template for Wordpress? Whats the right type of script i should be looking for this idea??
you can use any cms (wordpress, joomla, drupal) for this, and for template... if you found no one that adjustable to your need.... you can hire someone to create it for you good luck

I would really appreciate it, if the layout width is set on 100%. When someone that has the resolution set to 800 x 600 is perfect, the webpage can be viewed perfectly; but if someone that has the resolution set to 1152 x 864 views the page, he/she won't like it, because it's centered I don't know if you guys know what I mean, my english is not very good, so please understand ... I would also like to have a Poll section, a Shoutbox section, a Partners section(wwwfreewebsitetemplates.com will appear in this section), and a Statistics section(Users Online, Daily Hits, Total Hits, etc.), and if possible, 2 on the left side and 2 on the right side, for example: Poll section and Statistics Section on the left side, and Shoutbox section and Partners Section on the right side.
