I am a physics and chemistry teacher with a knack for toying around with every piece of open source software I can figure out how to play with. Any ideas for summer jobs?
IF you know how to program at all, you could look at the Summer of Code projects and earn a couple extra grand for the summer
Or you could offer some freelance programming/tech help. http://www.guru.com http://www.scriptlance.com
Ummm, Car Wash or maybe A Burger Joint???.... hehehe -Just Kidding!!!! Maybe advertise on Craigslist in the Computer Services Category Nearest City to you... It's FREE, so nothing to lose... Craigslist...
You can also advertise about your serivces here in this forum as well. There are a lot of people who would pay to install scripts and do some tweaking, integrating it into their existing design etc.
Tutor stupid kids who flunked the year and have to take summer school. Let me tell you, any kid whose parent's actually make him/her retake a science, will pay through the nose for you to tutor them. Since there is a lack of tutors in the summer (low need for them), you can clean up.
