    Hello everyone,

I need a coder for an upcoming site I'm working on called www.dealburn.com.
I don't have money to give, but in return I'm offering adspace on the site when finished, and free design services (website design, flyer, logo etc..ask me for my portfolio).
The site has a lot of potential, and It will get a lot of traffic when launched because I know a forum that allows you to make stickys to thousands of people for a paid price :D

    Requirements
    -Must know css/php/mysql
-must have AIM or MSN for fast communication
-some works to show me past coding jobs

If you are interested please contact me:
    aim: scmarco10
    msn:
    pm or post

    Thanks

If you are serious about getting someone to work without pay, you'll need to post in this thread exacly what the site is going to do.

DealBurn provides you with the internet’s hottest deals/products every day! We randomly select 10 items a day to display on our homepage, and it’s up to our community to decide if the item is worthy or not. The community is able to vote an item as “deal” or “burn”. If an item is voted as “deal” then the item tallies up points and moves to the top of the list. The list of 10 items is arranged from 1 best, to 10 worst. If an item gets a certain amount of burns, it is moved to the burned items section, where all stories burned are located. After a story has been burned, a new item then jumps onto the homepage in its spot. From here users are able to re-promote an item back onto the homepage. Also, we will have an “old” section in which users can sift through items that were recently on the homepage, in order to see if websites still have those deals available. With a registered account our users will be able to track items they’ve voted for, comment on items, and more!

    Hope this helps :)

So it's a Digg for deals?

    Just use Pligg for it.

Not entirely, besides I don't code so I don't know how to edit things.

Pligg would be a good option and would be straight forward to edit.

If you decide to hire a paid developer, feel free to get in touch

I dont want pligg because during the beta launch the site will be scraping deals. Users won't be posting them yet.

I think I'm actually going to use pligg. So I need someone to basically code my design into pligg, and make some changes...
