I want to a build a community for technology lovers. I already have the domain name and I think it's pretty cool: techiemen.com. I thought of selling this before but changed my mind. Developing a site or forum out of it is much wiser, not to mention, profitable. I also want to link it to a homepage which cater to news on science and technology at same the same time display electronic products. But I need someone with experience to do this. Now the forum is already designed - by me, minus the content. I use SMF because I like its features plus it's Free. Take a look! Requirements: 1. Willing to work. 2. Honest and credible. 3. God-fearing. 4. Must know the ins and out of web development. 5. Has intrepreneural skills. 6. Degree Holder 6. A dreamer, follower of the big names in business and technology. I need the following: 1. Web designer - incharge of the overall layout, look and feel of the site, to be based on the color scheme of the forum I designed (must seek my approval first) 2. Content King & Queen - responsible for the content of the site's homepage, where the news and products are located. 3. Webmaster - responsible for the management of the forum, the creation of categories (thus knowledgeable in technology-related topics/issues) What's in it for you? 1. You will be part of a team of technology-minded individuals whose mission is to make technology accessible and profitable for all types of people on the internet through information and e-commerce. This team and/or company to be called TMI (I will divulge the meaning later). 2. You will have a fair share of the profit gained from the services, product sales of the site, the amount to be determined once stability is secured. Rome was not built in one day, so give it 3 to 6 months. Together let's make history! If interested, post your credentials here or show me your resume via PM.
Thanks for your interest. Well there are many kinds of technology and I want each to be represented in the forum, not just one area like Information Technology. A mission and vision statement will then be formulated based on this advocacy. In my search there are 5 general types (you may add to this if applicable): 1. Instructional technology 2. Assistive technology 3. Medical technology 4. Productive tools technology 5. Information technology To be further broken down to categories and sub-categories, like there's a section for Robotics or for Consumer Technology, for example. I want the forum to be a one-stop venue for everything related to technology be it material, theoretical or applied. I would also love to have a section named "Ancient Technology" to give significance to our ancestors' contributions , and one for "Inventions" of the modern era. It would be great to have educators, scientists or professionals in our community share their pieces for the benefit of everyone. Technology afterall is born out of man's quest for comfort and excellence. The forum will be there to serve both - man and technology.
