    Hey digi point.

Im thinking the name of my forum is a bit old school and im trying to think up something that will dazzle the crowds.

at the moment its called "CC Communications" and its a tech forum.

So im thinking tech/telecommunications type names.

    any ideas...

    twitter is already taken! haha

    cheers

In my opinion, it's a perfectly good domain name (and business name). Your site is a bit 'cookie cutter' though. But there's plenty of good forum content. It sounds old school and makes me think of the 80s, soldering irons, and Tandy. Which is a good thing :)

You should develop it further - as a hardware forum for misc AU centric electronics and nerdy stuff (not specifically computer related), GPS, routers, digital TV, VOIP, etc... kinda like a hardware version of the Whirlpool.net.au forums.

thanks for the input kero, im thinking of doing a complete makeover into joomla.

My problem is i have no freaking clue how to get the name out there!!!!!

What your saying about a hardware version of whirlpool is spot on, plus im sick of the crap thats spun in there!

Get a less corporate logo/header while you're at it :)
Keep it simple, low key, homely. << They're the main reasons that (I think) sites like DP and Whirlpool work so well. People don't feel like they're being 'sold to'.

Get some AU hosting (if you don't already have it), keep the forum content going - and let Google.com.au and "pages from Australia" do the work :D

I think you should choose your domain name related from your keyword or title.
