I need a name change

I wrote one of the admins a few days ago and haven't had any luck. Who do I need to contact to get my username changed. I registered this name back when I owned a site with that name. Now that I've sold that site I've no reason to associate my account here with that name. Would it be easier for me to just re-register a new account?

Well I'm not going to keep this name and if they wont change the name then I guess I can either stop coming here or register a new name and eventually get banned. I can understand not wanting to change the name just because someone is tired of their name but come on....thats a bit stupid.

I liked it to, when I owned gamingevolved.com Now that I've sold the site off and created a new site I dont want to be associated with that username. I've learned my lesson on making my username the same as my site name. If the admins of this community wont honor a legitimate reason for wanting a name change then IMO that says alot about this place. I'm not being rude, I'm not swearing and throwing a tantrum but I will leave if they can't take 2 minutes out of their day and go into the control panel and change my name. I own a vb board myself, I know how easy it is to change names, they can't use that as a good excuse to not change my name.

It was your mistake!! The admins did not register that username, you did.

Rules are rules. If you keep this up, you'll just get banned.

So if I keep pleaing my case I'll get banned. If I register a new name I'll be banned. So many options round here. Rules are rules, how weak of a reason is that. They can't justify not changing it because of the work involved. Hell even vbulletin.com themselves changed over my name. You cant tell me this place is bigger than them yet their sole reason to not change my name is because of the work involved on the dbase. BS, if they ban me for this petty reason then it will just show other members how this place operates. Its sad really, I would have liked to of been a member here, but not under this name. So no, I will n ot just let this go...I will keep on till my name gets changed or they ban me. Whichever comes first.

Surely you can see the problem - there's 29000 active members here and even if just 1% of them, 290, were dissatisfied with their current username that would be a mammoth amount of work for the admin team. They can't set a precedent by breaking their own rules for an 8 post wonder.

this is why i never use a display name anymore.

I cant ever think of one so im like damn i dunno of one haha
    im so funny!

    kidding.
Name changes confuse alot of people. There are alot of business transactions and money being sent and received via sells on this site, its safe just to keep the same name, i think.
