yeah sounds like you need a social networking script like a "myspace" script. you can google for "myspace clone scripts" and see some good results. I'd avoid phpizabi because they can get hacked very very easily!! phpmotion is a free one but have a lot of upgrades for sale for it. I heard the templates are very boring though..
