I Need a Logo & Header! Help

Hey Dp,
I want to design a logo & an header, i try designinq with MS word but i'm not okay with it, bcos i don't have other graphic software.

please guyz i need ur help on this.

I just download GIMP & Adobe Photoshop 7.0 FOC ;D, in addition with my MS programs~!! i'm goinq to do the design myself, can u guyz recommend any good photoshop tutorials site?

GIMP is definitely a good software as its free.

 

Hey that's not really good to use MS word for banners, its not really for making banner.
Cos its basically for Document works only.
but i understand.
Try Adobe Photoshop.
I have not tried Gimp but they say its also a good software.
It very easy to learn.
You can even do self-study on it.
I will suggest site that you can use for some tutorials.

Thanks everyone for your wonderful contributions, i'm grateful. i now use GIMP & MS PAINT to work on banners and logo but they remain static, i want to design an animated header or logo, how do i do it?

 

Animations are basically working on layers, in GIMP, you just need to edit and move each and every layer, its like layer 1 - layer 30, its animating from layer 1 - 30 according to your layers difference and delay of the animations.
