My site's been up for almost 3 years and I still don't have a company logo! My site is www.MxMegastore.com and we sell motocross/motorcycle apparel. I'm not sure exactlly what I'm looking for but below are a few logos from apparel companies in my industry that I like. I want this logo to go on the front of hoodies and T-shirts as well as in advertisements. I'm trying to create a brand and I'm definatelly going to need a logo to do that. I'll provide feedback on designes every few hours. Payment will be via PayPal. I don't have any color or size requirements except for that I would like it to be a .jpg and a very large image so I can scale it down to the size I need or scale it up without loosing resolution. I also would like the logo to have a transparent background.
You need to provide more information than just posting a few logo's as examples. Such as (a) what your company name is (b) what do you sell/provide (c) what you have in mind for a concept (d) colors you like, (e) how you would like the Logo to be provided (eg: Vector/ PSD/ PNG), Etc

TightWad, Your submission looks decent but it's not really what I'm after. I'm looking for more of a logo, not just fancy text. Something like the Alpinestars logo above. Logo on top and then the site name in text underneath. Sorry I'm not more descriptive on what I want the actual logo to be like but that's why you guys are the designers.
This does not have to be a rush job. It's not one of those crazy 4 hour contests. I'm going to base the brand of my business on this logo and I'll keep the contest open a reasonable amount of time to achieve a logo that I really like. That being said I also won't drag this on forever and waste peoples time.
HERE's my design of your Logo as you've requested. I attached the file. It will show 3 similar and 1 different LOGO. I pretty much like all 4 of them, but you wanted "SYMBOL-like" design, so the last logo probably will be the one you want.
All of the submissions so far are just WordArt. I’m looking for more of a logo like the similar ones I have listed above. One of my friends sketched a helmet facing at me with a little bit of a tilt downward. It sort of reminded me of the head of a bull. It was sort of “mean†looking. Sort of like what I have below. The logo really doesn’t even need to have the site name in text on it. I can do that in Photoshop later. Maybe if someone could do the bottom helmet in a black silhouette. Then tilt it up a little bit so you can see the front/face of the helmet and put some goggles on it with a chrome lens? or
Well here is my try i read your first post, and saw that you wanted it under T-shirts and Hoodies, but then i read down and saw helmets so I didn't know what to put I know you wanted a transparent bg but CS4 just slaps a white bg on there when you save so sorry about that Well good luck finding your logo
Maybe this was a bad idea. If you look at the first 3 examples I posted above none of the entrants so far is along those lines. I like the 3 logos I posted above. I know I'm not very exact on what I want but these aren't even close.
The bottom one from kyuwonee is so far the closest but I don't know what that symbol is supposed to be and don't like the symbol very much but it's in the ballpark I guess. I’m more interested in the symbol than the text.
It's a futuristic motorcycle wheeling the front wheel with fancy boomerang shape to give it a motion. Text does not needs to be there, it still looks cool without it. It was to show where the best place to put text when you do. Above 3 logos, MX isn't just MX text. It also is a futuristic motorcycle standing up. it works without text. But I do get a much of a better idea that you posted Helmets to give visual example.
I'm not real into the futuristic motorcycle concept, but I think you understand what I'm nooking for.
