well I've been searching for an angel investor for some time now,,and can't seem to connect with anyone, so I've come up with something a little more creative. I don't expect it to raise all $15,000 that I need, but it may yield a bit of financial help. so, anyways, check it out: http://digg.com/tech_news/Young_web_entreprenuer_starts_out_the_hard_way I'd really appreciate a digg! I figure if this makes the digg.com frontpage for a day or so, at least something will come out of it. *just to clairfiy, I'm not asking for YOU to donate, although you certainly can .... I just figure if enough people digg my story at least some kind of money will come out of it.... you can check out what's online of my site so far at: www.WriteInYourVote.com thanks!
experience will teach you that people fend for themselves and you will not get .01 towards your project unless you offer them a benefit. If you are in college, use your head man, who is going to give some online stranger money so he can start a business.
I have dabbled in several off line investments lately. I don't know if you have thought through the Angel Investment deal all the way or not. My understanding of that method of funding is that they take most of the control of your business (and in turn most of the profit). They are also usually highly involved with projects larger and with more equity than your own. My advice would be to try a website like prosper.com first.
