About me: I am a web host agent. I used to offer small templates and few pages website for my clients when buying domain and hosting. But I have a big fish in my hand this time. He is going to buy a big deal with five or more domains. so I need to fulfill his demands. He is planing for small download site (I don't know for what maybe his softwares, or mp3) He doesn't want to disclose. And for that he needs following features: 1) Place for listing and little description of software or mp3, (one page for one). 2) Download link should be masked, so that when download now link is clicked the person should be taken to login page. They must login before download. 3) Log-in process will have one time payment process by paypal. 4) When payment will be done user will get password for his user name for ever till he remains member. BUT Admin must be able to delete a user, and date of payment by a member, and his IP and little more detail if possible should be listed. 5) User should now be able to download it software or mp3 after login done. 6) Should be very simple script but must work. Design need not be beautiful (but can be if you can ). This is a challenge for a programmer, as well as rewarding. You can sell the software to others also ie. patent remains with you. Reward $50+ for best one. ('+' depends on your work and how much I will earn with my client ) And $5+ for another nice try ('+' again depends) You can use php, any number of mysql databases Last date of submitting [April 8 2006] but better if you do earlier. contact me through PM.
I think you are over reacting. you need not make any more feature and no complexity and no template design is needed. Just make a skeleton. I can program php but I cannot work with mysql. And I just expect error free, which I may not be able to do. Also please remember that programmer has patent so he can sell the software later, I will not take it's patent and it is also a challenge for a programmer, and as a programmer of other language I know what the cost of a programming challenge is.
Wont it be better to use a preexisting CMS for this. I can make JOOMLA/Mambo do every thing you ask for here. If I i make joomla/mambo do this are you interested? Another advatage is 100% template driven, so damn easy to change look and feel of site.
I know a great method for doing exactly what you described, but I wouldn't do it for 50 bucks and most certainly not through a middle man. I can do this. I know PHP+MySQL very well. I myself did the entire engine of http://www.coredownload.com/ Please PM the following: - necesary fields for the items (I suggest: ID, TITLE, DESCRIPTION, DOWNLOAD LINK) - if a user has payed and has logged-in he can download as many mp3 (or whatever) he wants? - how do you send the user his username and password, after paying? I won't do design, just the script, programmers suck at design later edit: how can I trust you ? you are new here, got no messages, got no reputation. how can I be sure I will get payed?
