I need a good free web host with ftp (no ads, no lag)

    I'm using 110mb.com for a portfolio right now but its always laggy. Can anyone recommend a better free host that has no ads. I dont mind a link ad at the bottom, but no popups or banner ads.

    I don't understand why they would offer free hosting without any ads whatsoever what are they gaining?

    There are normally ads inside the controlpanels, I guess they are earning from that and also ads are normally found on the sign up pages and on the host main pages.
