I'm very, very bad at Adword, but i am determined to succeed with it. I have already bought Adwords Miracle and learned a bit, but it obviously isn't enough. I have raised my ctr from 0.20% to 2%, but i still cant find good words and i barely get 200 impressions a day on my campaigns and with a avg pos of 12 or higer. The conversion rate for my campaigns is near the absolute zero. So now i'm appealing to the DP community: can you guys recommend me any good adwords book? Im promoting exclusively clickbank products. Thanks
I will let a little secret out of the bag The following link contains the most information you could ever ask for about mastering AdWords... Its the BIBLE of adwords and all the PROS use it https://adwords.google.com/support/?hl=en_US enjoy
if you want to use adwords for affiliate marketing get one of this - googlemoneypro.com (buy this first, before any) - googlecash.com (one of the first and still one of the best) - adinfiltration.com (very advanced) - affiliateprojectx.com (contains other techniques) or go here and opt-in when the box comes down to get one for free affiliateprofitpump.com
You can pick up the odd tip from an ebook, but you're not going to learn much that isn't in the FAQ section...
Ultimate Guide to Google AdWords by Perry Marshall. This Google adwords book is another 'bible' that all PPC marketers must read. It's one of my favorites and has had a huge positive impact on my PPC advertising. You'll learn more about the intricacies of how Google adwords works, how to make Adwords work much better and how to save yourself a ton of headaches and money in the process. Also, you'll be challenged on how you think about, plan for and execute your business. It's is a complete guide to overhauling your internet business and I highly recommend it. You can find it on Amazon. Cheers, Anthony Buchalka
If you read this already.... FULLY, then you should have no problems as you are well versed as we are. Now you just need best practices and methodologies which you can find around these forums.
Wouldn't bother with Perry Marshall's book - it's out of date... The official Google help system is critical - I still refer back to it regularly - but it doesn't go into much detail on optimisation. Most of the tips on optimising an account can be found here (somewhere), but I've written a free guide (unless you want to download it) which covers most areas pretty well: http://www.epiphanysolutions.co.uk/google-adwords/. Feel free to post any questions you have... There are a lot of good blogs out there that you may want to subscribe to - GuyFromChicago's blog gives a good list: http://www.ppcdiscussions.com/
I recently read the book CustardMite offers in this thread. I thought it was *excellent*. You can read the 'Bible' for Months and not get a clue about what he teaches very concisely and clearly. I strongly recommend the free e-book CustardMite offers above.
