    Phone verification? When did this occur? I just manually posted a few ads the other day and I did not encounter this obstacle.

    I tried myself for testing purposes and indeed, it was requesting me phone verification.

    I have been using a growing local business classifieds site http://www.bizzflip.com since they first launched a year ago with pretty good success.

    They also recently launched a sister site considerded to be the "Green Craigslist" called http://www.ecoflip.org . I have a pretty good feeling that EcoFlip will catch on with the growing green frenzy.

    what cities/regions are doing the phone verification? is this for new accounts only?

    i post about 10-20 ads a week in florida (orlando, tampa, jacksonville, gainesville, etc) and have never had to do any phone verification...
