www.customiz***edclassics.com www.customiz***edclassics.com/romeo-juliet.asp Conversion rate on phrase anniversary gifts for the second URL: approx 0.5% Would anybody like to do a review of the site, and in particular of the checkout process. I'm starting a make-over of the site with an eye to getting the conversion rate up to 2% You can be as blunt as you want.
Dude, I'll be honest, the people on the cover do not make me want to buy it. Put some models on it or something.
lose the tannish centent area and replace it with white, it makes it drab. not only that the romeo page doesn't even fit without scroll bars in a 1024 window... nevermind 800x600. i think it needs more vibrance, less drab.
The gradient fades (going from red to white over a big area) are really tough on the eyes. it is very distracting. I would try to stick with solid background colors when there is text on top of it. The form page to fill out to customize is alittle imposing - 20 inputs is alot for one page. I look at that and think I don't want to spend 5 minutes filling it out. You might try breaking them up into 2-3 smaller pages. Atleast then the user has spent the time to fill in two pages before they get to the third one...at that point, they might as well finish. I get alittle nervous when I pay for something online and it takes me to a completely different page to actually enter my CC information. Can you customize the CC page to look more like your site? You might want to put a small disclaimer that the rest of the order process is handled by a CC processing company. Just throwing some ideas at you. Not sure how much either of them will actually help.
At first glance, it looks like a typical affiliate spam site with unattractive colors, it doesn't fit in an 800x600 window and it's just plain unappealing. It needs bright colors, attractive models and a layout that is clean and crisp. Good luck.
I thought people were being hard on you....but after checking it out....maybe not. I think it is a good product but not pressented well.
Brutal - it looks like someone's first site, from 1997 If you, as a visitor, have to make a decision within 3 seconds on whether to stay or go, it's difficult to work out what you are selling -poor colour choice -poor people photo -tons of text no-one is going to read ask yourself, where do you want to lead people once they get to your home page - you know, 75% or more of your audience point them there and off you go ! good luck
It resizes fine for me?? The picture should be for your target markets, maybe have a second picture with botoxed, modified, and airbrushed S.Cal look people to attract the same. LOL Since I sell golf stuff and if I was trying to reach the older generations I would use photos with the ungly plad pants with funky green shirts (or is that the new style coming in anyways?? Someone could have made billions storing all the ugly 70's clothes and bringing them back out.)
Good responses! So far, this is what we have Needs to fit in 800x600 Less text, make it clear what the item's about Better photos Break up order form Colors Payment page needs to match site in appearance A few others which I've been considering: Move shipping info to order pages Move "customize now" button higher up the screen so fits above fold in 800x600 Move price up Add more photos of inside of book as well as the physical book Putting an 800 number across the top for reassurance This is good info. Any others? Particularly from the perspective of a computer newbie.
When the site comes up it's all text (have to scroll down to see the pics), which isn't "fun". If I have to study a website to become interested, I'd be gone in a second (and I do A LOT of online shopping). I would use more pictures for sure. Good luck with the site !
