It does.. the private one. I've temporarily shut off the public downloader because my dedicated server ain't all that great

Yup it is cool.. Traffic has increased quite a bit. I've mentioned the average figures in an earlier post

Yeah I get annoyed by people who automatically associate sitelinks with authority status. They are two completely different things. An authority website usually has sitelinks, but not all websites with sitelinks are authority sites. I'm not sure why people assumed the direct connection.

I hadn't heard of authority status before - I guess it is something to aim for. Added rep.

    Jealous... are we?
If you add a spacing between those two words, you'll know why a lot of people search for that term.

Nevertheless, thanks for your pointless feedback. It is neither needed, nor welcomed.

No specific rule. I am not a God of SEO... and as such, am not really 'completely' aware of what it takes to gain authority status. Unlike what a few people here have said (and there will always be a group of negatives) don't be deceived by the fact that authority status means nothing :)
    Just work hard for it

Not really sure about it mate. Just 'be genuine'.. don't 'fake' anything. Nope.. no blackhat ;)

Lol this whole thread is a joke. Site links does not equal authority status. Please find some Google documentation that backs up your claims. This assumption is just made by amateur seos who don't know any better. Sitelinks mean nothing. It doesn't mean your website is any better than you competition. It just means that Google thinks that the phrase might be your company name.

You ask me to back my claim up with a Google documentation, yet you provide none to back yours up?

    Strange...

Oh and btw.. if you REALLY think this thread is a joke, ain't it about time you stop posting here?
Else you'll really make a fool out of yourself.. ya know`
Call a thread a joke, yet you post in it... strange

    And I quote:

Authority does not have to be strictly defined... or so it seems!
Unless you read through that quickly..

I find it amazing how many people celebrate that you can rank for your own domain keyword
rapidpremium has a total of 1300 searches per month. And you are 1st? is that an achievement?
Come one mate, are we serious in this forum? I though this was about internet marketers.

I can register a new domain name tomorrow bluecheapcoolcars.com and I bet I will rank pretty dam fast for blue cheap cool cars.

The funny thing is that for rapidshare premium you simply can't be seen in the first 10, when in reality that is a 80.000 searched keyword per month.

achieving 1st position for THAT term is in fact Authority.

Like I said.. and I explicitly mentioned it right when I started this thread..
I am NOT gloating over this.. I have not become too full of myself... neither am I too proud of it.

Besides, what I am targeting is not a really large market. Rather a specific niche. And rapidshare premium is NOT my target keyword...

Funny... because people often tend to skip the first post.. or at least... part of the first post, before they jump to conclusions.

Nevertheless, appreciate your feedback and I certainly see the point and logic in your post ;)

    Guess not...

Amen to that. I honestly thought I was the only one reading this thinking "what the hell is going on with these responses?".

Sitelinks does not equal authority. And nor does being an "authority" automatically mean you are given sitelinks below your listing.
