I don't know what the cap to US earnings are before you are taxable. If the exemption is till for eg. $50,000 per year, then you needn't report it.

Federal Income Tax legality not withstanding...

You need to report income over $600. I'd have records handy since most US based companies will file a 1099 for you.

ASE Adnet does this for its US publishers.

They usually ask for a filled W-9 form.

I am thinking if you make less than $5,000 a year then there is nothing to file but anything above that amount you must claim and file on.

Lonelyguy, you need to pay taxes on ANY income you receive what so ever (especially PayPal).

    Check this out:

"The U.S. Internal Revenue Service can ask paypal for information on some of its customers as part of an ongoing investigation into suspected tax evasion, a federal court ruled on Tuesday. "

Why don't you just call IRS and ask them? They will give you the right answer. That way you wont get in to any trouble.

I am not a US citizen, but genrally you need to earn income tax on whatever way you earn money. Affiliate system being non us based, they may not ask you - it is your resposibility. It doesnt matter if you earn it over internet or by working at a local company. I dont think any govt will give option like"anything earned on net is not taxable". You need to be realistic and responsible, no silly excuses like person @ IRS "prob cant help me".

You "need" to report all income over $600.00 (which you obviously have). Notice need is in quotes because no one is forcing you too, however, it is a felony (tax evasion) if you don't. So you would end up paying obviously alot more if you dont (jail, fee's, etc.).
