I made my first $4.25!

My Google Adsense account was approved today and I immediately went to work in putting up a couple of banners. Not many, mind you, but a couple. I don't want my blog to look like a billboard.

I checked my account at midnight (EST) just for fun and I have $4.25!

Not bad for the first 6 hours.

I know, I know. Not much. But it's still kind of fun, especially since I'm not even really doing this for the money.

I just wanted to pass the good news along and to thank everyone that has helped me out so far. You guys and this forum are great!

Thanks. Yeah, my goal is to be making exactly that by August. I think with the right amount of promotion it may be possible.

Congratulations I'm still working on trying to get up to 50 dollars per day! Granted, my site hasn't been around that long and I don't necessarily need the money. But it would be nice! But anyway, congrats.

I don't drink but there's no need at all. I've lost count of the amount of people who have helped me over the last year or so. It's nice to be able to help someone else. Glad it's working for you.

 

So what are the numbers like now. You started really well, but it's the trends that matter most. Hopefully your income is trending up?

 

Yes, it's still going up. I mean, it's only been two days so I would hardly call that a "trend."

One cool thing I just noticed, though, is that I am already indexed by google. I wasn't yesterday. That means that it took just 4 days from the time I uploaded my blog to now for me to be #1 for "I Regrew My Hair"

I don't know if that actually means anything good, but I'll take it! I think it's just fun to have something I built out there doing something.

Ok, enough patting myself on the back. Back to work! I have to make the blog more presentable today!

That's a really nice start...I don't even make that most days and i'm with adsense for 5 or 6 months now

 

Congratulations from me as well. I just started blogging June 1st and made my first qualified click this morning (ironically, shortly after joining here at DP).

Here's hoping it keeps up. $4 a day is $120 a month, which admittedly isn't much, but at least pays the hosting bills on it.
