grwolz, that is interesting. I remember having PPC up months ago for some INTL amazon-sales i did...but i really dont remember the min CPC, i used associate-o-matic that time. I would have to investigate there and do some experimenting if thats really the case. I also never saw it as something *that* special respective "unreachable" CPC in other markets....whats a typical CPC for an Ad where you skip your own LP and just use amazon.com and your aff-ID, say, for a digital camera or similiar ? Maybe there is something odd with the pages you direct to ?
I am going to attempt something similar and see how it goes here with some lower priced items. First thing ive found out is that Yahoo will not allow you to advertise amazon links. Only adwords has allowed me to even place the ad.

Cool thanks for posting your e-book, I had already figured this out though from your blog post. I have ads running on 2 items for 300-400 USD. So far google only shows 5 impressions for the first ad though. I find this hard to believe.. but we will see. The big ticket items like plasma tvs don't seem the way to go. You have to think personally what would you buy over the internet. Id never buy a tv with out seeing the image or speaker with out hearing them. Its been making high end items harder to find. Ill post results later to see how things went. Maybe they will just kill the new (with voucher) adwords account with no sales.. who knows.
I dont have the gift of explaining myself very well. lazy i guess. The link that was in my post (deleted) has a few members of dnforums discussing how they had some domains taking from them, hijacked. They warn others to watch out, it seems a few members that use dnforums are hard at work to steal domain names. About this thread, It sounds good and may be possible, but to give a book away seems a bit unusal at this time, also to spill the the beans at the peak shopping season. I think I would of wrought about it in march 2008 and said " How I made a 100k in a 100 days " If you wanted to increase sales with a big entity, How would you try? Higher someone to advertize. Where can you find More people that are looking to make money selling other peoples stuff, then on these forums. I know these forums are to learn and help others. cya
I don't think that you figure it out if you'r promoting 2 itemsWith your setup,you will get probably 10-15 impressions and 2-3 clicks per week.
you have a point ! but i have clicks on EU 5000-7000 products too. Once in a while people DO buy such high-end items which is always nice. I still wish commission would be higher than 4% tho But...go an amazon...there are MANY very expensive items, not only plasmas and for some items it might be reasonable to buy from amazon. My $0.02

Have you thought about using another affiliate program other than Amazon that sells the same items you're promoting, but offers a higher cut? ABestWeb is a good source to find any if they exist.
this would defintly be worth checking out. Commisionjunction or whatever. If the other partner has attractive prices, maybe even better than amazon (?!) Will defintly check into this. What i like with amazon is that they have such an enormous amount of products and they're pretty known and reputable and prices are good.
