I Made A Video For DP And Recieved An Infraction?

I am sort of upset.

DP has gave me an infraction and deleted my thread. http://forums.digitalpoint.com/showthread.php?t=1976335

The thread contained a link to a YouTube video I made for Digital Point. In result for making a video tutorial for the Digital Point users, I received an infraction and was accused of "posting to inflate post count".

DP staff obviously thought I posted a random YouTube video. Can you put my thread back and remove the fraction please?

 

1. What does it have to do with Google since that's the forum you posted in?
2. Dropping a link to a video you made that links to your youtube channel doesn't really have a place on DP. That's only about boosting your youtube channel / views.

Link to the video from your signature, don't make a thread about it.

 

Maybe he got the idea of being a generous dude by helping noobs with his video and hopes to get his thread stickied? XD

 

Nope , he prolly wanted just some free traffic,subscribers,etc . I mean srsly who needs a video tutorial on how to use a forum ?

 

If you have time to waste making tutorials you need to get a job, one that pays money.

 

Let that be lesson to you, NEVER help anybody on this forum UNLESS they pay for it.

Also infractions - "posting to inflate post count", that could apply to every post anyone makes, including the post I'm writing right now.

 

Indeed, but both macdonjo and myself can testify that the slightest error or mistake can you cost you dearly, so my original statements stands. Simple advice, only help somebody if they ask for it, then reply by pm.

 

Dude , the purpose of a forum is to exchange opinions & informations . Why would you be here anyway ?

 

I can see a point on both sides for this one. On one hand it would be nice to have a video for noobs because lets face it the same questions get asked 50 times a day. But on the other hand putting it in your sig would have been the best route because why should dp send half of its users to your channel? An infraction maybe a little over board a warning would have suited better in my eyes.
