The paradox of this post is that a lot of MLM sites that employ these tactics actually do convert and somebody is making money by doing nothing.

 

That's a bit hard to believe? Can you post the URL of that kind of MLM?

Would be interesting to see if they actually don't do anything at all to earn money.

The paradox IS correct - I find myself doing NOTHING to make money all the time - HOWEVER - ONLY after I spend a good chunk of time and money setting up a campaign or new product/program that affiliates love and run with... Automating a revenue stream, then duplicating - is - in fact - what we are ALL trying to do here So we can confidently do NOTHING someday... I hope and wish for everyone on this board that does their time, pays their dues, and figures out their automation strategies with real effort - gets what is coming to them. Rewards are realized when they are due - I'm not going to lie - even though I wrote this post with my sarcasm hat on and to reflect the wonky pitches in this forum - it does hold truth to it.

Today was actually one of the best days I've had at ClickBank - almost at 1k, doing nothing (affiliates are loving the new program), but I did A LOT of 'something' before we launched - like 11years worth...

I have read the thread out of interest to see what type of replies had been written.

I guess a point to this thread could be the fact that a truly successful affiliate marketer can do NOTHING and make money. However, to get into that position where you do not have to do anything, you will be required to:

1. Find a reputable product (or create one)
2. Find a market
3. Find affiliates to get the traffic (as the product landing pages convert well etc)
4. Rinse and repeat

The result for a successful affiliate marketer is seeing converions every day without needing to make further tweaks to a campaign. In essence, when they have truly optimized a campaign and it is producing an optimum return on investment each day without having to touch it.

The biggest hurdle for every new affiliate marketer, myself included, is being able to choose products that will be able to reach the 'DO NOTHING' stage.

Knowing your customers desires and your product limitations should help to set people on the path to doing nothing.

Dude, even the Nigerian money scams need us to do something. If you told us we need to do something, it would be more convincing, lol. Even if it takes 30 minutes a day.
