Like the others though, I have no idea what generated it. We just started about 2 months ago and we're averaging anywhere from .05-.50/click. I think we would do pretty well if we could generate more traffic. I've recently relocated a leaderboard in our blog and saw immediate results. To the feller who has the Australian cat site, consider putting adsense in your forum. I also have a cat oriented site and we just added a forum (so not much traffic yet). But when we do see traffic, we get a pretty good CTR at the header of our forum site. Here's another interesting quirk; every once in a while, we'll see two clicks from one impression which generates a CTR of 200%. Not sure how that works, but I'll take it. Perhaps it's from the same person clicking on two ads on the same page? Anyway, keep on keeping on! Jennifer
The way I see it, it would take two advertisers to big very high for a click for this to happen. Google says that you are only charged 1c more than the next highest bidder. So, for the $25 click your advertiser would have bid a max PPC of at least $25 and another advertiser should have bid $24.99!! If this happened a long time ago (A few months), it could have been a mesotheolema (however you spell it) or similar ad as they were paying quite well for a while.
I have Got 8$ once when i had a Forex Site..! Now I dont have such clicks coz i was kicked out of adsense due to my frnds mischeif..!
I guess things like this were possible and they will be again, these times are quite bad for most niches. I sometimes get 1 c for 2 clicks, but it generally ranges from 0,01 to 0,1 EUR. Good luck to all of you mates.
It depends on the niche, of course, and whatever you do DON'T try to click on your own ads. It is because of click fraud that overall prices paid per click are on the decline. Remember that there are two sides to this game - Google is just the arbitrager here. The money that you get paid per click doesn't just magically appear from Google's coffers, they are merely paying a percentage of advertiser money for each click on the Ad. If the advertisers find out there is click fraud and/or the conversion rate is horrible, guess what happens?? They either quit or just won't pay as much as before because the ads don't turn a profit for them!
