This just isn't true. There was nothing wrong with Vista, just a bunch of people spreading myths. Windows 7 is definitely an improvement over Vista, and I'm using it on all my computers, but there was absolutely nothing wrong with Vista.
I agree somewhat. When Vista came out, the hardware was not enough for Vista. Vista needed more RAM, and most PC's didn't have enough of that RAM. As time passed, and RAM's became cheaper, people had more RAM and Vista started to run fine. But I still prefer 7 over vista, and as you said, 7 is definitely an improvement over Vista.
Must say I run Win7 on all my machines, desktop, laptop and htpc and it is head and shoulders better than Vista that's for sure and by far the best "out of the box" solution for HTPC use. However, it shames me to say that I've been using the other halfs Macbook a lot recently and quite liking OSX too
Yup, although the biggest problem was companies putting "Vista-ready" stickers on computers that really couldn't handle Vista. It was a pretty big issue.
I m use window seven and XP, when i transfer data through usb to pc in window seven but in xp data transfer fast.
firstly when i buy my laptop it was with the vista and it was the worst experience i have with my machine but as i switch to windows 7 i m felling better and i m amaze to see a promo of windows 8 its gr8 change bringing by ms i like it too after failure of vista i think MS have learned some thing.
Yes it is great OS and run faster than windows vista. It has many device drivers pre-installed, security features and Nice Graphics Themes.
not as much as mac osx, i have a macbook air and i run windows 7 but.. pretty slow on my macbook air anyway, better to use mac osx
Windows 7 is great but uses huge resources. I still love Windowx XP, but for simplicity and graphics Windows 7 is better
