just did a search on MSN for a couple of my key words. #1 for "dog forums" oh yeah that's right. My first victory! woot woot
For my sites, the MSN SERP's are extremely erratic, much more so than Google. With MSN Search I can be #1 one day, #250 the next, and #1 again a few days later. And I thought g00gle was bad. The most stable SERP's for me are with Yahoo! AmCy
I wasn't even really trying to get my actually forum index ranked. I've only been concentrating on the home page lol.
MSN is great Takes a little while to rank though. About 1 month from 200th position to number 1 position for me anyways. Very gradual
But all in all, google is still the most used search engine of all ... From all search engines (in holland), still 96% of my visitors from searchengines come from google.... Only 2% from msn
I go great in MSN but badly in google. I get alot of reffers from MSN. I wish it was opposite though... Greg
Yeah MSN has been great so far to most people it seems. Quicket and easy to manipulate. I still believe the Google rankings seem more random that MSN at times
I really don't know why we rank so well in msn and our clients do as well. I didn't do anything for msn. I still focus on Google and somehow msn hits it first.
MSN is bound to go through some changes soon i would think... it's too easy to rank well right now... if they don't update their algo then the SERPs will soon be full of SPAM. (just my opinion)
Yeh, everyone likes msn because they rank That's like members praising DMOZ because their sites get listed
