    hello,

i am having a blog, and it was ranked on 25th in google , due to some issues with my hosting company, i planned to change the server, what i did is, i created a new blog on new hosting server and then uploaded same content by import and export option in wordpress, and installed all the plugins and configured them as they were before.

I also changed the theme of my blog to a new one.

now the result is, my site was on 25th, when i changed nothing, then it came to 35 when i changed just the theme on same server, and then i lost ranking today when i changed the whole server to a new hosting company.

can you people tell me that what can be the reason ? will i get back my ranking ? is it due to i changed the server ? i am worrying about my ranking, will i get it back ?

    pls let me know

How did you set your TTL when during your host change? How long did it take for you to do all the arrangement changing to your hosting company. And also don't worry most probably your ranking will come back soon coz its really your domain ip that needs attention to look onto. Simply as long as your domain name is the name the less you have to worry about

I didn do anything with TTL, what i did was : i simple changed the DNS and wait for the name servers to take effects so that i can create a new blog on my new hosting and used import export option to get the contents, after that just fixed everything as the blog was before, thats it.

i hope this is a temporary lose of ranking, i am waiting for my ranking to come back as normal again, is there anything i can do or just have to wait for my rankings to show up again ?

Ya. I wouldn't worry about it. Even if you had put up a completely new site, it only takes a few days to get ranked. If your site has the same content, Google will recognize you and you will rank for it.

yes, the site is having every thing same as before, but just to describe, i just made everything new but same as before, contents, plugins and sitemap, everything. I also verified with webmaster tools again today only,

so i think waiting is one of the best thing to be considered here on my situation. i would like to get more suggestion from those who might have experienced the same thing and got their ranking back after a while.?

edit: in ma earlier post i was mistaken with domain transfer and web host change. There is nothing to do with TTL during host change. And anupkanwar do not worry about your ranking but are you sure there is not change in effect in your title tag? But i think it is due to the change in your wordpress theme. May be the Onpage structure is a bit badly optimized in your new theme?

Its not because of your blog dear. That's what we call Google dance. Its an ordinary dip and you can again hit the same spot or better as soon as you start working as you were working earlier..

Check your server that is that running every time, because its happen if google bot crawl you website and your server is down and DNS not responding to bot than Google serve your site as dead site and put your ranking backward...please check and inform your server host that please keep running my server every single second.

    from the Google Blog thursday....

Finding more high-quality sites in search

"in the last day or so we launched a pretty big algorithmic improvement to our ranking—a change that noticeably impacts 11.8% of our queries—and we wanted to let people know what’s going on. This update is designed to reduce rankings for low-quality sites—sites which are low-value add for users, copy content from other websites or sites that are just not very useful. At the same time, it will provide better rankings for high-quality sites—sites with original content and information such as research, in-depth reports, thoughtful analysis and so on."

It is affected due the server changing so your rank has dropped but no worry it will stable again after google crawling.
