Just realized that this is not the right area for this question.

Mod: Please close this thread and if you would be so kind place it in the right area. I would just post anther question somewhere else but I don't want to risk being penalized for spamming or something.

I will do that. Would you mind send me an example of how you wrote your letters? It seems that you know what you are doing if you were able to get all your sites back their Pr.

    It would be much appreciated,

    Thanks,

    Mark

Mate forget Pr and concentrate on Content that Brings in Traffic.

Decent quality links that count and content that meets as many broad search queries as you can
    With Useful Relevant information.

Do these two things and pr will come as an added result

Pr does nothing for your natural search rankings just helps increase the amount of times your site gets spidered.

    Dont worry about PR dude.

One of my best blogs .. with huge number of visitors and backlinks from TV networks has PR 2 while one of my other blog with around 250 UV daily has PR 3. PR does nothing. Traffic matters.

Also, you can try mailing google about it. and in your mail ask them that you would like to know what you have done for which they have decreased the PR. this way you can get an idea what shouldnt have been done .

    Let us know.

Content and keyword relevance (hint: look up hit-tail) the traffic really wants to see you focus on their needs not your PR. Page Rank may follow, once good relevant traffic patterns stabilize. I say may follow, because if you and your audience are satisfied who cares! By the way, PR usually follows. If the site is relevant and you have not changed traffic sources you should still ask why it went to zero just to learn for the future.

Don't just rely on one reading, its like measuring blood pressure, doctors never rely on one reading, they take a series of readings over a period of time.

Wait a couple of weeks and then decide, to go from 4 to 0 does seem strange :eek:its a big drop?

Thank you for all the comments I didn't realize how many people would be interested in this.

But I did buy a drop domain, but it had the domain name that I wanted and it was a good Pr and so I figured instead of blogging for a year and than getting it to a Pr 4 I would just start at a 4 and blog as normal. I'm not trying to flip the site I just wanted to start on a site that would cache in google faster. It was a good price and I thought a good idea. It was a drop though and was a 4 when I got it but than like 2 weeks later it from a 4 to a 0, should I just stick with auctions and get a 4 off there so that the domain isn't sitting for so long and maybe google won't drop the Pr?

Thanks again for all the reply's!

As a guy said above..there r plenty of chances of it being a Google dance..it will b settled down within few days with toolbar update

or its bcoz of of the url has lost its backlinks or 'nofollowed'...check the no. of backlinks and their PR..is it worth passing the pagerank value of 4?

or may b its a sandbox effect bcoz of lots of low quality backlinks

or in the worst case (i wish not)...may b the domain u purchased was flashing a fake PR (due to sneaky redirect in past)

Whatever may b the reason..4get it n concentrate on some quality n relevant link building to regain it...may b it wll tak 1 week-1month-1year...depending upon the cause for the drop:)

How is it true that when you bought a dropped or non dropped domain which is currently on parking and changed the owner as you, many believed that it will loose its PR, is that true?

So, if that so, i recommend to those sellers of domains that have pr, not to change the registrant owner when domains are pushed to they buyer. Am I right?

You must update or edit your site to increase or maintain PR.
