I keep getting messed up emails with foreign langauges. How do I do install software.

Hi,

I am keep getting emails that look like they are from china, hong kong, etc and all I see is squares and messed up text and things. When I first installed outlook it did ask me if I wanted to install some language components or something and I said NO.

No I need to be able to read this information, how and where can I get components or activate it if it is already on my computer so that I can read these emails as they could be very important.

They are probably spam, but what about if one is a serious email form china or somewhere. How can I get the plugins or if I have the plugins how do I activate them so that I can read the information. Spam or no spam it is still important just incase one of them is very important and is about copyright infringement on my site and if I can't read it then I will not be able to take the copyrighted material down and I will end up in serious trouble.

So I need to be able to read this information, spam or no spam.

I take copyright infringement very seriously and don't want it on my site, but because I have quite a bit of user submitted content, this can happy occassionally.

 

If a lawyer can read your site good enough to find copyright infringment, he can write English good enough to send you da E-Mail in English.

 

I guess that is a point.

So do you think I am worry over nothing here?

 

Oh yes, BIG time!!! Spammers would love you...if you figured out how to read the E-Mail!!!!

most of them are spam, but still if u like install lang pack, few of them will be in your xp cd so it will auto take or download lang packs from msn download center and install.

 

As others have said, you aren't missing anything.

I uninstalled all my non-english language fonts just to help tag the garbage.

I still get a couple each week with the word PayPal or Ebay and the rest of the subject scrambled.
