I just upgrade for IE8

Few hours ago I decided to upgrade on IE8 and after I made an update on Windows looks like IE8 works great now, no errors at all. Just very minor problems with CSS on some websites but I think this will be fixed over the next beta upgrade.

Anyone else get major errors? I might be new and didn not had time to test everything but I will keep you updated as soon as I notice anything wrong.

I must say, I'm using AOL also and works better even than IE7.

    Good luck!
    Robert

IE8 has some improvements but some regressions from what worked in IE7. None of my web sites worked in IE8 as well as IE7, or any other browser. However, when you consider that Firefox is in beta4 and this is only beta one for IE8, I would not have upgraded at this time, nor made changes to my web site. Things will still change in IE8 and what you fix now may not be a fix a couple of months from now.

In addition, it is very disappointing that IE8 isn't making a better show in this beta. For all the improvements Microsoft promised, you would think there would be a substantial difference. If this is what they are starting with, they have a long way to go to match what they promised much less any other browser.

This is why I use AOL as backup! When I have any problems I can always jump on AOL. I consider to install FF but I'm waiting for their next upgrade/update.

I can only wish you best of luck! It is in Beta version still and you can read the number of threads complaining about IE 8 here :)

You're using the AOL web browser? I can't stand that thing, as for me, I'm sticking with IE7 for Web stuff and FireFox for browsing social sites.

Internet Explorer 8 beta is paying off. A lot of work has been performed on standards compliance. I've heard that the browser is less secure, especially for non-computer talented users.

You use the AOL browser? I thought it was extinct. You should try Opera or Firefox.

AOL have Desktop version 10.0 and works pretty good. Yes, it sounds a bit strange to use AOL but works by far away better than IE.
I will install FF to compare.

Interesting to see people still use AOL. Its like owning a vintage car.

I'm happy with FF 2+ and IE 7 at the moment. Though some friends have suggested that Opera has come out as a better browser than before
