i think first you should read the other threads .. you will get enough information.

You needs the following to get revenue:

    1) traffic .. ie people visiting your site
    2) relevant ad displayed on your page
    3) nicely positioned ads so that users naturally click them

I understand what i need But not the amount of it. Like 200 visitors a day is that going to do anything?

200 is a decent amount to start with. Make that your goal and then see the changes.

To answer your original question, there are no set rules... there cannot be that many generalizations when it comes to Adsense. I can have 500 visitors and not make one penny due to crappy ad placement yet on another site I can have 10 people and get some money cause I placed my ads in optimized spots.

Get the traffic first. Get a review of your site. Make sure it's something people want to visit.

    Goodluck.

I agree with the person on top of me. My old site started around 200 uniques a day and it was gaining decent profit. Although not much (approximately $15/month), there is no garuntee that it will gain that much. You can do better than me or do worse depending on your ad placement and click-through rate. Obviously a higher CTR will increase your revenue. Take a chance and experience different placement for a while.

Stop thinking about how much money you can make. Stop trying to figure out the numbers you'll need to make that money. All you should do for the first week, first month, and hell, maybe even the first two months, is to just keep adding quality content and swapping links with like-minded sites. If you do that, if you do the REAL work, you will make money off your site sooner or later.

Ignore that, and you'll be another dead-on-arrival webmaster who expects too much but is unwilling to put in the work.

It's not set in stone. Some days I get a lot of clicks and other days I get no clicks, but it's the same traffic. The key to adsense is just adding new content and continuing to get traffic. And, naturally, have good ad placement.

I'd get more traffic. Changing your ad placement with very little traffic does nothing.

The length of time will depend on the maount of effort you put into it. How long it takes is not important but the ability to maintain and increase the no. of clicks is.

Even if you have only say 100 visitor a day, if your visitors are targeted traffic, and you ads are relevant ads, chances for them to click through the ads are high. You can get them for example, in participating relevant forums or commenting on related blogs. I personally focus on targeted traffic unless of course you are working on general niche where you talk about anything on your blog. Hope this helps.
