Send email to the owner or webmaster to add the link of your web directory. Also you may inform to the members of the forum using thread like "New Free Web Directory"

try to gain backlinks to other link directories, but also think about why your directory is unique and what it has to offer, as there are tens of thousands of link directories on the net

ok, I was having problem with Website Optimizer on google. I tried to Validate the page. But I got error. So I was thinking is there any software I can use to do SEO.

Get a ranking of at least PR1 and you'll be sure to get a load of people on forums like these who want to submit their link. So basically, create a bunch of backlinks by submitting to directories or even buying paid links. You'll then have at least PR1 next update and then you can start advertising and seeing a load of submitters. Then just keep building your PR, if you reach PR4 you'll be sure to have a whole LOAD of people coming to your site.
