I just got scammed so here's my advice to newbies selling/buying domains.

    Hello all.

Not too long ago, I listed some PR3 domains for sale. I had a deal a few days later with a Mr Quen (now banned) He paid some good $$$ for the domains. I got the $$$ via paypal.

Next day, I looked at my paypal account and have seen that this money is on hold for unauthorised transfer. $#%$#$#%$#

Now I lost both my domains and can't recover any $$$ for the domains. So my advice to newbie is as such;-

    1) Never buy from new forum members or member with little itraders pts. (I am assume DP dun allow selling of DP accts.)
    2) Use Escrow (although it is not totally secure too)
    3) Do a complaint to ICANN. (but it will cost you too)

But from I read from http://forums.digitalpoint.com/showthread.php?t=705260
Things don't look for buyers and sellers alike. :p

I sold a website a while back using escrow and had no trouble at all.
The buyer ended up not being so nice but the support and security from escrow was 10/10

Sorry to hear about your loss, don't give up though, pursue the matter.

All you have to do is use Moneybookers and you are safe. No need for Escrow for amounts below $300. Moneybookers DOES NOT ALLOW chargebacks - when you get the money, it's yours and nobody can take it away.

Ya... $300 or more... Escrow is the way to go. But in my case, it's just $200. I guess I belong to be unlucky kind. Lol... Just once it is enough.

sorry for you ... it happened to me something like that with a DP member who has 40 ITrades !!
i sold him a membership website for 10$ , that downloads data from the original script's owner website (its made like that)
then he asked me to give him what is there in the script's owner website (vacation - ebooks and software) which wasnt a part in the deal.
I told him its made to download from one server and no need to host stuff for your own.
What he made : troubles with paypal (then he got website and i loose money) , and he wants to make me a negative itrade.
DP becomes really infested with pro scammers who take your stuff and get back their money, so in both cases seller is looser...
