    i just have my check today but i amazing about what bank to use

    i dont know what is the fast one

    HSBC or CItybank or CIB bank ???

    help me fast

    and also how much it take to cleare the check ??

    I go with HSBC and it takes 3 days (max).

    Since the cheque comes from citibank to me, i always go for citibank only :)

    ICICI : 2 days
    HDFC : 5 days
    Local country (govt banks) 5-20 days

    It always pays to shop around for a bank.

    If you are wanting to set up a checking account see if you can find a bank that offers free checking. You have to watch to see if there are minimums you have to keep in account to receive the free checking option.

    If you do not have an account with a bank they may charge you fees to cash check there. Amit's suggestion is a good one if you do not already have a bank account and are able to use same bank on which check is written.

    Local Govt banks also take me 3 days , because the adsense cheque is sent in local currency which you select in adsense account.
    and G sends the cheque to Indians via Citibank cheque cleared in any local branch if you have citibank branch in that city.

    I personally deposit in a govt(nationalised)bank which clears the amount in 3days. :cool:

    There is no differance if you deposit in Govt or private bank till the cheque currency is local currency.

    one question do we have to sign at back of check (at endorsment by payee) before submitting check to bank .(ya i had asked earlier but want to confirm)

    In the states you have to sign back of check. You probably will be asked for ID as well if you don't have an account with the bank.
