Hey. I have a word-press blog. I see the blog has a 404 template file. I assume that template file is loaded when a page gives a 404 error or not found . How about adding a meta "noindex" tag to that file so whenever a robot comes to it, it stays away. Just wanna make sure.
It will do nothing. Check again if you are writing wrong spelling of your blog name. Don't trust your memory. check your mail for confirmation mail for the first time wordpress
Why would you want a bot to stay away from it, if there is an error it's better they find a 404 page from your site, than just a link pointing nowhere, you may as well just delete it altogether if you are going to do that. 404 pages exist to cover your ass when you or your software gets something wrong.
I have some error pages. like website .com/?p=id They cannot be removed except through Robots.txt from Google URL removal. So that's why I think this
