I just got a wave of about 500 StumbleUpon users to my site and only 2-3 actually used my site. Any insights or is this typical of stumblers? My site: iGiftd
It is normal. Stumble and Digg users are considered poor quality traffic. They can spin your counter, but not many buy. Consider a stumbler/digger like a person who constantly changes channels with a TV remote. Unless you have something out of this world to give them (and free) they are likely to switch "channels" quite quickly. Don't rely on this kind of traffic unless you are being paid for AD Exposures. Otherwise, it is next to usless.
Thanks. My site is definitely free and always will be but your thoughts are definitely the way I was feeling.
very normal with any social media traffic, let alone SU. make sure you have some calls to action that will appeal to this audience and hopefully more of them will stick.
Thanks slasher. I thought I had some good calls to action on the homepage but now I am questioning. What do you think?
