My sister in law was only in labor for 4 hours! lol That was pretty amazing in itself. Anyway, to the point...She gave birth to my nephew, Ethan, at 4:40pm. I don't like kids but this one is just the cutest thing. I was surprised about his name. I'm from Hawaii and Ethan isn't a name you'd expect in Hawaii. We all laughed about it but it matches him. He's so cute. I didn't touch him and I made sure to stay at least 5 feet away from him at all times. They tried to make me pick him up but I have a phobia so I didn't. I'll just wait till he's almost 1 probably. I'm too lazy to put up pictures but I probably will sometime in the near future. Just wanted to share.
When my niece was brought home from the hospital, I dropped her. Ever since then I just didn't touch babies.
great news! but get over it and pick the poor baby up, believe me it is the easiest thing as long as you always support the head.
Fair enough. I would be afraid it happened again... But you can just touch you nephew when he is in someone else's arms.
I know I can but I won't. I'll probably do it when he can support himself. It didn't take a long time for me to pick my niece back up but still, I don't like holding babies either way.
Congrats! They all look like little old men /woman when there born but still pretty cute.....and 4 hours is pretty quick
It's on my digital camera, not my phone. It would be too much work for me to plug it in and stuff. I will though, he's a cutie.
Same is the case with me, when I pick babies I often drop them I try not to pick babies but can't help myself because I love babies. Though I try to be very careful when I've a baby with me. You should try to pick him up and sit down in a sofa so that you don't drop him (This is to decrease your baby fobia I mean baby dropping )
Then you must set down to minimize the risk of dropping him (The only option for you). If you can't control this what would happen when you will have your own babies
