I just got a domain name "sync.com", and I need some advice.

You own sync.com? You are rich man!

 

You can sell this domain on SEDO for good price or you can make website and develop it depending on your choice

 

It you do interesting to work on the domain and have a website then you may think of it and earn money from there. It is better value if your domain able to bring more organic traffic and backlink from the previous.
If you are not interested then just sold in in flippa, i think you will get a good price for that.

 

Selling or building your own site with that domain...Either way it will make you happy am sure

 

The author itself is missing here. Anyways this post certainly entertains one with some excellent comments

Simply no way the OP's story is true. He would have had to save his friend's life about 5 times to get a domain like that as a birthday present, and the fact it's with Mark Monitor seals it.

 

Great domain name. Develop it for sure before you try to sell it. Having traffic and a bit of maturity will add value and if you want to create your own sync.net brand, all the better. Sounds like it would be good for a technology blog or similar so would beeasy to build into something good.

 

Let me know if your friend needs some more buddies. My birthday is coming up in a couple of months! Maybe he can also give me a super awesome premium domain name lol

Sometimes keyword doesn't really matter if you have good content.
If you're looking for short term gain, you should probably sell it. If not, you should start investing time into building a website given that your post in this forum is currently directing traffic to your site.

ps: If you really want to sell your domain, I'm willingly to buy it.

sync.com is awesome domain, keep it and maybe someday a tech company interested to buy this domain for super high price

 

Would be good for a filesharing/syncing service, similar to dropbox.com. Or for a service that offered remote, secure data backups on dedicated hardware.

 

I saw someone suggest $500. I'll pay that right now to the OP if he can provide proof of ownership

Well, a gift isn't supposed to be sold unless it's extremely necessary to do so. On the other hand, sync.com is an ideal domain, you shouldn't sell it and you really should use it no matter how you use it.

P.S:- Why don't I have such friends who could gift me so good domains on my birthday :/

That's a very good domain name!! If you have the abiliy, I woul sugget you develop it into a tech "magazine" site, I'm sure it'll do great.

 

Use it !!! Anything related to synchronization would be proper for that.
