I have heard that someone bought www.sonyericsson.in few years ago and when SE wanted that domain, they didnt offer him huge money, instead they fined him :-|

 

yes, they use the fact that, even though person who registers that domain, didnt make any money from parking the domain, COMPANY JUST use the excuse that ,,registrarnt had use their name to make thier company reputation look bad etc....so definatly not a good idea.

 

They could have at least gave a cellphone to that guy

 

Sell this or get rid of this as quick as you can. As many people have said before, you are in violation of copyright infringement, a very unpleasant matter that you really don't want to get into. I wouldn't call this a waste of money, just a slip of judgment. Just get rid of it.

 

he had emailed the EBAY...........LOL......I really hope he deleted it before ebay contacts him...so he can get away with it.

 

Gosh! These trademark issues irritate me so much sometimes! What if Edward Bay or someone with similar name would want to buy the domain for personal use?

Get rid of that domain name asap, if ebay find out they'll request it to be transfered to them, maybe some legal action may be taken.

 

I had opened a subdomain "yahoo.mysite.com" and dpers told me it would be a trademark issue.I opened a ticket about this issue on my host,dreamhost.They answered me "That wont be a problem if you dont imitate yahoo.com".

by the way, why dont you sell the domain on ebay and ebay themselves may bid on it since you already told them anyway, give it try people will bid on it for different reasons and you will get some money for it.

lol, do not give the the owner of this any advice, he may take your advice seriously and end up auctioning on the ebay, hahahahah, which I think would be lame. But I would then again must see this ebay auctioning on ebay name.
