    Why did you senddd polite email???????????????????????????????????????????????????????????????????????????????????? I would say you should have just kept it,,,,and let it expire silently,,,,,,never email the person you are scared from,,,,,,,you cud have just let it expire or talk to ur registrar, and adress your registrar issue instead, good luck bro, first opition is always contact your registrar explain them, you wanted the name ebay, but you didnt know ebay was trademark and you new to this etc, your registrar would have been able to do something, i hope everything will be good.
    Mistake!!!!!

    I think this was a good move, they may be feeling good and pay you s bit of good money for it or just give you the reg fee and ask you to transfer it lol

    let us know what happens.

    Its not really a big secret it wont be that hard to find out for ebay. This way if they want to be nice he can profit from it otherwise he can just pay to delete the domain if ebay make a fuss about it.

    Lawyers don't get paid for being nice. They get paid for taking action. The email was likely immediately forwarded to the legal department. I'm sure they have their hands full of people who think they will become millionaires because they have ebay whatever in their domain. I'd say give it some time they will answer your email with a canned response on how to turn it over to them immediately or face litigation where infringement fines could reach 100k in damages. Don't even expect to recover your expense it wont happen. Just hand it over. Don't even consider trying to profit from the name especially from an auction site or even parking. My suggestion would be to make it so the name doesn't resolve at all.

    That's because your email has been posted on the message board over at eBay headquarters and everyone is having a big laugh about it. ;)

    thats what iam saying, if you want your life to be sinked in the deep black see, wait for their reply, or you could have simply delted it by talking to registrar, registrar would have beeb able to delete it without refunding your cost, but 50 bucks are way better than 50 thousands. think about it, delete it, and one more lesson, never try to emal the company if you somethin like that, just simply delete it, and thats it.
