I just bought suit . ws. Is it too risky to use for my business?

I'm trying to start a small business of selling custom made suits made in Thailand online. A year ago, I registered a decent .net domain with the word suit in it domain hoping later I could get the .com version. Well the other day I got sick of waiting for it to drop and contacted the owner of the .com domain with a different email address. He wanted $2000 for it. I really doubt it's worth anything near that amount. The problem is the only .com names I see dropping are really stupid sounding.

A few days ago a friend showed me where I could get (suit . ws) for $15. I now own it. I was so happy to get it, but I read that it's risky to own a domain you're using for a business if you don't live in that country. Would it be worth it for me to use this domain for my business or did I just waste $15? I'm sure I won't get type in traffic if I parked it, but I think people could remember it if I lied and said .ws stands for "website". I'm just afraid later I'll lose the domain because I'm American (living in Thailand) and not from West Somalia.

    thanks,

You wont lose the domain... I know many people (British, Americans and Australians) with .ws domains.

    It's another country not Somalia...

"While there are no geographic restrictions on registration of most second-level .ws domains, .ORG.WS, .GOV.WS, and .EDU.WS registration is restricted."

No risk at all. But in any case for your own business that is recommended have TLD domain name not ccTLD, unless you are the resident of the country this ccTLD belongs to

The problem is finding a short TLD domain with the word suit in it is near impossible.

I'm glad there's no risk in it. I'll use my new domain suit . ws then.
