Hello DP members ! I was searching at name.com for some domain suggestions and I founded: http://movies-bb.org an expired domain. It is more than 1 year old. So what do you suggest to do with this domain? Is it a good domain for a movie site to use cpalead?
Why dont you go for a Forum? A movie forum? OR SImply go for what you have done now, Wordpress. But if you are going to embed new films and so and so.... I would recommend you to use an offshore hosting or else, rules may sometimes come to sue you..! Copyright issues are very strict in USA,India and other non offshore countries..! Thanks
Hello Extremephp, I had a hosting in the US and I asked them in support chat If they allow me to embed movies from other sites and they said you could do it without problem. But do you thing its worth to go for a movie forum? Does a movie forum can generate any bucks? Thanks a lot
First thing comes to mind regarding "bb" is "bulletin board". So, maybe it makes sense to think about forum, news blog or movie fans discussion site.
you can do lot of things. but thats strange u picked up the domain and thinking later what to do that works with keywords pick first think later for this u need to put some movie forum or blog with download links or else its just reg fee domain
Hehe, I just liked the fact that the domain was expired and its 1 year old and this helps to get ranked good to search engines. Yeah I agree that is just reg fee but with such high number of already registered domains is pretty difficult to find free domains that worth more than their reg fee
you should have though of what you'd like to do before getting a domain. anyway,its a good domain,you might wanna work it out as a movie downloads site.
If your hosting company says you can watch illegal (unpaid) Movies from another site, than they are mistaken or lying to you. Only a offshore hosting company can fulfil your requirements, best to think about that....
Thank you very much. That host is about expiring in 4-5 months and I will not renew it so I don't care If they suspend me since I keep daily backups. I have even chat screen shots of conversations with them so I will give them a bad review if they suspend me for no reason. Is easy to run again the site in another host within few minutes since the backups are and domain is not registered with them but at name.com. Anyway, I think there is no problem since I am using a open-source cms like wordpress and I am not hosting nothing to their servers besides the wordpress cms.
edi90, if you want to play the safe route, make a blog. If you're more daring and are willing to risk your time for a potentially better site, I suggest you think of something REALLY creative that could give "bb" a new meaning. "Big Booty" for an adult site, or "BrownBox" for some movie service (RedBox knockoff?) Those were just my ideas - use your think tank Best Regards, vip-ip.
